Zen Nihon Batto Do Renmei (ZNBDR) is composed of members of martial arts
organizations that aspire to Batto Do with a focus on TAMESHIGIRI (cutting a
target with a Japanese sword). It is operated by a council of officers elected
from members of the participating organizations.
ZNBDR was founded to deepen mutual understanding and improve technical
skills, joining together with other different groups such as Koryu, an old school
of Iaido, beyond Ryuha (school style) boundaries. ZNBDR also seek the
further promotion and deployment of Batto Do. To achieve these goals,
ZNBDR have created own KATA and TAMESHIGIRI, conducting Dan Ranks &
Title examinations and issue certificates upon successful completion, and we
hold seminars/workshops and competitions.
